​If a child shows symptoms of COVID-19 at school

​If a child shows symptoms of COVID-19 during the school day, the following protocol will be followed:
  • A designated staff member who is wearing appropriate PPE will escort the student to the Isolation Room. 
  • Nurse Amy will evaluate the student for symptoms of COVID19, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, lack of sense of taste or smell, and other symptoms.
  •  A family member or guardian will be contacted by a staff member and asked to pick up the student.
  • The family will be encouraged to get a COVID-19 test.
